Almost four decades into a colorful career, celebrated Visual Artist Teguh Ostenrik continues to carve out his own domain in Indonesia’s vibrant art scene. He spoke recently with Geraldine Tan about living in the moment, staying observant, and flourishing on his own term.

In 1972, two years into a medical degree at Trisakti University in Jakarta, Teguh Ostenrik was so driven – pun intended – to make a change that he became a part-time taxi driver to earn some extra cash.
