Two “Domus” ARTificial Reef in 2015
House of Mussels , as a remembrance of what Teluk Jakarta has been famous for : its mussels, which nowadays are no longer exist due to heavy pollution.
Recent Work
Ostenrik’s recently work is a Corpus Christi sculpture at 5.30 meter height , which was made totally of scrap metal. This 1 ton in weight sculpture is a commissioned work for St.John Maria Vianney in Cilangkap, Jakarta.
The concept of using scrap metal is to express our appreciation to the tremendous suffer that Jesus had to take while he was on the Via Dolorosa. His body was whipped 512 times. Each lash certainly leaves scars. Each pieces of the welded metal represent those wounds.

Launching of the 1st ARTificial Reef Park in Senggigi Bay, Lombok, 24 May 2014
I have created metal sculptures that will be “electrified” with a revolutionary scientific process that turns dissolved minerals in seawater into Biorock, or “seament.”
This is a collaborative effort of the Lombok Hotel Association (LHA) and Indonesian Marine Affairs and Fisheries (DKP), with support by Indonesian-based Gili Eco Trust. The project with its planned on-going art installations, is being described as “an underwater art museum” that will eventually extend the length of Senggigi Beach, Lombok’s popular visitor destination. I call it an “ARTificial reef park,” a place for viewing ART while snorkeling and diving amongst marine life. This project allows me to have a part in revitalizing a coral reef and to do it through my art.
